Coming over the top is the root cause of most slices — and it usually starts with alignment. Aim two padded sticks at your target to build an alignment station, then set your accountability stick in the hole for the club you're hitting — sand wedge, 8-iron, 5-iron, fairway wood, or driver — using the right side of the Impact Pro if you're a righty, the left if you're a lefty. Drop the ball just inside that stick and rehearse taking the club back, shallowing it, and delivering it on plane without clipping it. Move the ball closer as you sharpen up, then hit balls.

SHALLOW THE CLUB. FIX THE SLICE.
SWING IT ON PLANE.
Put the club you're hitting in its matching hole — an 8-iron in the 8i hole, and so on for every club — then set the clubhead directly in front of the stick. Now trace it: club back on plane, club down on plane. If you tend to suck the club too far inside or drop under it, this grooves the correct path and lets you feel the slot. Give yourself a couple inches of room and hit balls once the shape holds.
SHALLOW IT FROM THE INSIDE.
Built for wedges and flighted shots, this exaggerates a shallow, inside delivery. Set the stick in the Inside Swing 25° hole and address the ball with your shaft on the tip of the stick. Back up a couple inches to give the clubhead room to swing under it, then take one big side-step toward the target. Start with soft rehearsals to feel the shape, then hit some balls.
COMPRESS THE BALL AT IMPACT.
BUILD THE WALL. BUILD COMPRESSION.
Think of the Impact Pro as a wall. Set it one club-length behind your trail foot so the padded sticks stand up like a barrier just behind you — and the whole drill is to swing without hitting that wall. Cast the club or hang back on your trail side and you'll clip it every time. Avoiding the wall forces your pressure forward, keeps your lag, and delivers your hands ahead of the ball — which is exactly where real compression and speed come from. Rehearse it, then hit balls.
DIAL IN YOUR ALIGNMENT.
Most golfers aim well off their target without ever knowing it — and alignment is the one thing tour players train every single day. Set up the Impact Pro's alignment station with your feet and body parallel to it, and run a stick out front to picture your target line. Because your low point works past the ball, play the ball well behind the tool, frame it with the padded sticks, and hit balls until your eyes see square.
STOP EARLY EXTENSION.
Early extension — your hips thrusting toward the ball through impact — causes thins, fats, and inconsistent contact. Stand two padded sticks vertically in the 90° holes just behind your backside, then take your setup. Swing to the top and return to impact with your backside still on the sticks, only coming off them as you rotate through to the target. Film it face-on to check yourself, then hit a few to feel it live.
DRIVE YOUR LEAD HIP TO THE TARGET.
The best players shift their lead hip four to six inches toward the target by impact — that's what loads the lead side and creates real compression. Set the stick in the Sw hole, which sits at about hip height, and place the tip five inches in front of your lead hip at address. Your goal is simple: get that hip onto the stick by impact. Record face-on, rehearse it, then hit shots and check the tape.
FLIGHT YOUR WEDGES LOW.
The best players in the world launch their wedges below half the loft stamped on the club — think 25 to 30 degrees, even with a 60. Stand a padded stick up tall about six and a half feet ahead of the ball to give yourself a height gate. Flight the ball under the top of it and you're inside that window. Hitting it there forces a shallow, hands-forward strike, so you'll bring the flight down, add spin, and tighten up your distance control.
CONTROL YOUR LOW POINT.
Every pure strike comes down to controlling your low point. Lay a padded stick on the ground behind the ball — start easy, about two clubheads back, then move it closer as you improve. Make your normal swing and catch the ball clean without clipping the stick behind it. This drives your low point forward and steepens your angle of attack, so you compress your irons and get real groove bite on your wedges.
TRAIN A CLEAN PATH ON YOUR CHIPS.
Weak, chunked, and bladed chips almost always come from taking the club too far inside and flipping it through. Set up to your chip with the padded stick matching your shaft, then take one step toward the target. Keep your pressure on the lead side and rehearse swinging the club back and delivering it above the stick — never under it. Groove that path and you'll nip chips clean instead of chili-dipping them.
GATE YOUR PUTTING STROKE.
Where your putt starts is almost all face angle — so this trains alignment and face control at once. Drop the Impact Pro into its Putting setting and line the built-in gate up between your ball and the hole. Start from close range, because it's tougher than it looks. Once your alignment is confirmed, the gate tests whether you can square the face and start the ball on your line — the real foundation of holing more putts.
